Biography:
David is a senior lecturer for the Foreign Going team and also teaches in the Local Validity grades.
He has 22 years seagoing experience as a deck officer in the South Pacific, Australasia and New Zealand. His last six years at sea he worked as Master in vessels on the New Zealand coast holding pilot exemption certificates for most of the major NZ Ports.
David is also a volunteer for a high profile youth organisation where he develops safe operating plans approved by Maritime NZ for youth boating activities.
David is also a Safe Boating Advisor for Maritime NZ and an accredited tutor with Coastguard Boating Education.
