Biography:
Sukerna’s involvement with technology transfer is primarily in the marine engineering domain. He covers basic sciences to marine applications and trains students from entry-level to Chief Engineer.
His experience in the maritime industry includes shipboard operations, shore-based ship management, maritime education and training. The range of maritime assets he has been involved with include dry cargo ships and tankers, as well as special-purpose vessels in the offshore oil and gas sector.
Sukerna is an active member of the Institute of Marine Engineering Science & Technology (IMarEST) at the Auckland branch and ANZ divisional levels.
