18 months, in past 10 years, while being a holder of an Inshore Launchmaster Certificate (Conditions apply).

Unless you intend to use your NZ Offshore Master for fishing or vessels known not to be satcom capable, we recommend that you obtain a full GMDSS certificate instead of a GRTOC. This will maximise your employment opportunities on the larger vessels that you could command with this qualification.
